مرحباً, World!

I'm a PhD candidate in Linguistics with a focus on Computational Linguistics at Stony Brook University. I'm also part of the Institute for Advanced Computational Science (IACS) at Stony Brook.

I'm currently working with Professors Owen Rambow and Jordan Kodner on learning Arabic morphophonology cross-dialectally.

A former* Cameleer in CAMeL lab at NYU Abu Dhabi headed by Prof. Nizar Habash, where I heavily worked on modeling morphology for different Arabic dialects across resources and corpora with the aim to bridge the gap between Arabic in general as a low-resource language and other high-resource languages in NLP.

I completed my B.Sc and M.Sc in Computer Science at the University Of Sharjah. My M.Sc thesis was on 3D Animation tracking and acquisition using limited resources under the supervision of Prof. Naveed Ahmed.

* Once a Cameleer always a Cameleer 🐪
